Children and youth are not just the church of the future; they are an active, present part of our community of faith today!
Our children (K-5th grade) and youth (6th - 12th grade) ministries offer both mid-week and Sunday morning faith formation that is tailored to their developmental level. In addition to children and youth specific programming there are many opportunities throughout the year for children and youth to participate in intergenerational opportunities to grow and serve.
Sunday mornings during our 11am worship hour, we offer a Montessori-based service, "Worship & Wonder," for children 4 years through second grade. Worship & Wonder teaches our children the rhythm of worship and stories from scripture in a hands on environment.
Our nursery care is available for infants up to three years of age for all of our Sunday-morning events. We also welcome babies and children in worship in the sanctuary.
We offer Sunday School classes for ages preschool through 12th grade. Sunday School meets from 9:45-10:45am between our 8:30am and 11am worship hours.

On Wednesdays during the school year, we have Logos for kids 4 years through 12th grade. Everyone gathers at First Christian at 5 p.m. The children head to choirs, while the Chi Rho middle-school and Christian Youth Fellowship high-school students break into small-group Bible study. Everybody joins back together for supper. Then the children enjoy “Pray and Play” time, and the Chi Rho/CYF youth mix and match for prayer, service and various interest groups. Dismissal is at 7.
All year long, we offer special events that help our young people to grow in their love for God and one another. From mission trips to various camp experiences and other fellowship and service gatherings, there are many ways to connect and grow.
